Our final practice evening of the year is on December 13th, which happens to be the date of the December full moon. To make the occasion we will be doing something special, a Full Moon Puja.
The Sevenfold Puja is a beautiful compilation of verses from various sources, notably the Bodhicaryavatara by Shantideva. Together they make a potent ritual to evoke the beautiful yet rigorous spirit of the Buddhist life. Puja is designed to make the heart soar and engage the less rational parts of your being in turning towards a clear seeing of the nature of things.
The evening will still start at 7.30pm at Lloyd Hall in Outwood but instead of a second mediation we will do the Puja instead. So bring your best chanting voice and an open mind, or perhaps a mind to be opened!
There will be no Tuesday evening meditation classes on December 20th or 27th. Our first practice evening of 2017 will be on January 3rd.
