We had a wonderful Puja before Christmas and even those who had never seen a Buddhist ritual before said they felt moved by it. Our next Full Moon Puja at Lloyd Hall will be on Tuesday March 14th.
The Sevenfold Puja is a beautiful compilation of verses from various sources, notably the Bodhicaryavatara by Shantideva. Together they make a potent ritual to evoke the beautiful yet rigorous spirit of the Buddhist life. Puja is designed to make the heart soar and engage the less rational parts of your being in turning towards a clear seeing of the nature of things.
The evening will still start at 7.30pm at Lloyd Hall in Outwood but instead of a second mediation we will do the Puja instead. So bring your best chanting voice and an open mind, or perhaps a mind to be opened!
